Ingredients

  • 1 package Polenta Valsugana Express Yellow
  • 300g sausages
  • 350 g of peeled tomatoes
  • 120 g of onions
  • 60 g of celery
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 sticks of thyme
  • 2 red peppers
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt, pepper
  • herbs and red pepper for the garnish

Preparation

Chop the onion and the celery. Sauté in olive oil with garlic and thyme until golden brown, then add the tomatoes.

Add salt and pepper and season with the red pepper.

Brown the pieces of sausage into a pan without olive oil.

When brown, add the tomato sauce. Cook for another 10 minutes and keep warm.

Put a pot of water to boil and add salt. Once the water starts boiling, slowly add the maize flour and mix well. With a wooden spoon, always stir in the same direction while the water is boiling. Cook for 8 minutes.

After cooking for 8 minutes, pour the polenta into 4 small bowls.

Add the sauce, garnish with herbs and red pepper. Serve.
