The principles we promote every day to optimally manage the entire production process, preserving the land in which we operate. We are committed to protecting the soil, preserving biodiversity, conserving water resources, limiting the use of chemicals, defending crops through integrated pest management, managing waste, using renewable energy sources and implementing GMO-free cultivation. With the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programme, we favour the use of natural methods over chemical pesticides. At the Gruppo Montenegro plant, we work to minimise waste. By recycling materials correctly, we are able to give 90% of our waste a new life.
The year in which the Sustainability Roadmap was drawn up, a document that sets out short-, medium- and long-term goals to help safeguard the world we live in. With the solar panels installed on our Group plant, we produce 491,169 kWh of electricity. We also contribute to the reduction of CO₂ in the atmosphere through the use of 100% renewable sources: water, sun, wind, biomass and plant substances.
